The Badger Window

In case you’re wondering about our profile picture: it shows the stained glass window created to commemorate the centenary of the Association in 1990. The artist was Gounil Brown from Sweden, she died a few years ago. It was paid for by Mrs Bowskill of the China Parade. The badgers are a symbol of local wildlife and in tribute to Cllr Marguerite Hall, chair of the Museum Association and campaigner for badgers. You can see it on the main staircase.

The Hastings & St Leonards Observer reported on it in June 1991.
